What the name means

The term is associated with vehicle cages used in the war in Ukraine. It describes a broad category rather than a single tested design. Two vehicles with similar-looking cages may have very different configurations and requirements.

Metinvest has publicly reported developing and supplying protective screens for military vehicles in Ukraine. This manufacturer report documents its own work; it does not establish performance for Veil’s concepts.

Vehicle cages at Veil

We are developing vehicle cage concepts alongside our facility and route netting. The concepts on this site give you a starting point for discussing a vehicle project. They are not tested vehicle designs or evidence of protective performance.

What to include in an inquiry

  • The type of vehicle and what you want the project to achieve.
  • How people get in and out and reach equipment.
  • Servicing, visibility, and equipment access.
  • Your timeline and whether the project is for one vehicle or a fleet.

These details help us understand your request. They do not establish a final design or confirm that a cage is suitable for your vehicle. Keep the first inquiry general and leave out sensitive or classified operating details.

A concept is not a test result

A rendering shows how a framework might sit around a vehicle. It cannot tell you how well it protects the vehicle, whether it fits, or how it affects servicing. Those questions require testing and a review of the vehicle and proposed design.

Veil Systems is currently testing its systems. No validated protective performance is claimed.
